Brilliant tour led by our tour guide Thomas. Even our 3 year old enjoyed it and learnt lots of interesting facts about the caves. Would definitely recommend to everyone as it was great to see and learn about these caves.

Fascinating underground caverns, waterfall, stalagmites, stalactites this activity is not for the disabled or limited mobility. Bending and squeezing involved. Walking involved about a mile there and back to the exit.
All underground.

What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, thomas, was incredibly informative and knowledgeable, it was an absolute pleasure to be toured by him. There were many different 'attractions' that made this walk worth it: it absolutely blew my mind seeing fossilised coral and sea creatures embedded into the stone. I'm so grateful this tour exists and that it's open to the public, it's an unforgettable experience and worth every penny!

Visited the cave yesterday and had a great experience! Our tour guide was Mike and he made it very enjoyable and fun, you could tell he cares a lot about the cave, he was very informative and could answer any questions we had about the cave.
The café and gift shop is also very cute, it has a nice selection of souvenirs and offers a really nice view while you wait for the tour to start.

Had a fabulous guide called Thomas who explained everything so well and then went above and beyond when we had finished the cave tour telling us about the local interest and area. It is well worth the £18, money well spent. Large car park and a nice cafe

We got there just in time for the 4pm tour with Mark - what a fabulous cave visit! Mark was super knowledgable and answered all of our questions, pointing out all the fossils and cave formations on the way. Fabulous way to spend over an hour, highly recommended!

Visited on a wet January Sunday afternoon so it wasn't busy. The guide was really good and answered my questions. In our group there was someone with a slight mobility issue. It wasn't after he paid and was just inside that it was mentioned in the safety briefing about the low ceiling and having to crouch down. Maybe ceiling height before you pay could be an option. <<<< This is constructive feedback and I would recommend this place.

This truly is a magnificent and stunning Cave Attraction and one of the best Caves to see in the North of England. Access into the Caves is by guided tour only which lasts for 80 minutes and the tours run throughout the day at 10:30hrs with the first tour and the last tour at 15:00hrs. The other tour times are at 11:00hrs, 12:00hrs, 13:00hrs and 14:00hrs. The tours of the cave are thoroughly informative, engaging and riveting learning how the Caves were formed from the last ice age and also about the interesting different features you see on your journey through the cavern and how they were formed. There are a number of different features and these are The Witch's Finger, The First Waterfall, The Judge's Head, The Squeeze, Arum Lily, The Devil's Tongue, The Face, Battlefield Cavern & The Carrots. The most interesting and intriguing features are The Witch's Fingers, Arum Lily and The Judge's Head as they are exquisite and it's absolutely fascinating and amazing how these feature have formed over thousands of years ago. The Cave is also renowned as the longest showcase in Britain and two of the best features in the Cave are The First Waterfall and The Battlefield Cavern due to the fact seeing a Waterfall underground in a Cave system is a stunning sight but also unique at any showcase you will see in the UK and The Battefield Cavern is a truly vast spectacle of a Cavern and a truly amazing sight and the best view of any vast Cavern in the UK. On the Cave tours you can also learn how the Cave were discovered by Christopher Long in 1923, which is a very interesting story and also a captivating one. There is a cafe selling a variety of food and drink at reasonable prices and also there is a lovely gift shop selling a nice range of souvenirs at reasonable prices. Overall this is a sensational and stunning place to visit and makes for a fascinating and enjoyable day out and is well worth a visit in the Yorkshire Dales.

Well priced expedition for a fantastically guided experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is even just passing. Our guide Mark was very knowledgeable not just about the cave but about the composition of the interior and the processes that make it look as amazing as it does.
